Women's Basketball off to Strong Start
LOS ANGELES - LA Trade-Tech Women's Basketball has stormed out of the gates, opening their 2018-19 season with an impressive 12-2 record, bringing home two tournament championships along the way. With a CCCAA second-best 83.9 points per game average, they've outscored their opponents 1174-832, netting over 100 points twice, and with 11 of their 12 wins coming by double-digit margins.
The Lady Beavers won the Cosumnes River College Invitational in their first three games of the year, and more recently took home the title at the Buddy's All-Star Classic at LA Valley College, where Cheyenne Givens was named MVP and Cheyenne McKinnie earned All-Tournament honors. They finished in third place at the Saddleback Lady Gaucho Classic, and most recently were runners-up at the Glendale College Holiday Tournament.
The team faces Southwestern College to open up the Grossmont College Holiday Tournament on Friday, December 28 at 3pm. Their next home game will be on Wednesday, January 23 at 7pm against Mount San Antonio College.
